Honda ATV foreman

Honda Foreman 4x4 ATV
2009 Honda Foreman 4×4 ATV

The 2009 Honda Foreman 4×4 ATV is designed to be a workhorse, it’s built to tackle the toughest jobs you can throw at it and not let you down. To accomplish that feat Honda gave it a stout 475cc 4-stroke engine that it claims is as tough as nails, having put the Honda Foreman through ATV hell I believe it. A system called Traxlok allows you to switch from 2WD to 4WD on the go by simply pressing a button so when you feel the need for a little more traction and power you’re covered.

The Honda Foreman 4×4 doesn’t have the four wheel independent suspension of it’s bigger brother the Honda Rincon but with optional power steering and a torque sensitive front differential the Honda Foreman feels quite nimble and easy to turn in my opinion. As always Honda provides several optional features, you can order your work quad custom built from the factory, this years model codes include TRX500FPE (with EPS), TRX500FPM, TRX500FE (with ESP) and TRX500FM. The 2009 Honda Foreman 4×4 ATV is available with Red, Olive, Black and Honda’s Natural Gear Camo ATV graphics.

I love the feeling of being on a mini-tank while pulling a log while having my legs protected from mud splashed, if I had to choose a single thing to complain about it would have to be the feel of the brakes while under load and heading downhill and braking performance is not a major concern. I give the 2009 Foreman a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars in the work class of ATVs. If you agree or disagree with me i’d love to hear about it!

MSRP is $6,799, if you want a used ATV compare that with these similar listings
